With less than 6 days to go, I am well into my taper, prepping my body for Sunday 14th #IM703STAFFS.
I’ve started the big R&R to shed any fatigue and so far I am feeling good – with only a slight niggle behind my right knee, and a twinge in my left elbow – but overall, I am hoping that by Thursday, my body is going to be fully recovered ready for race day! Over the last 6months I have given my body a bit of a hammering, and I am really pleased to have come this far injury-free.
To say I am nervous is true – but to say I am excited is an understatement.
Only 5 days, & 16-odd hours to go!
